Anime!

Though life on a third world country might seem dull and hard, It doesn't mean that we can't have hobbies and from my vantage point (living on an average family) life here is a mix of hardship and smiles.

The anime lovers here in Philippines might not number that much, but it is still on a six digit figure. The people's awareness(mostly teens and kids) of these kind of toons first came from television network which aired old cartoons from Japan because of it's cheap price.

Some of the favorite anime that we had back then were:

Detective Conan This show has been viewed several times

in Ph and is now aired again in CH. 7-www.detectiveconanworld.com/wiki/

Flame of Recca Like other anime the whole series

was played for about 3 times in PH tv-en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flame_of_Recca

Slam Dunk- One of the most favored anime

because Ph has the love for sports especially basketball,

there is no doubt why this is one of the famous anime in Philippines,

If you are on Philippines and ask a 5th grader or even a grade one student if he or she knows

Ghost fighter or Yuyu hakusyo has also been phenomenal in Ph, when the anime first aired, you can hear 

toddlers outside shouting how they strong their raygun is or how they will unleash their own black dragon

This anime is not just popular in Japan but also around the world

who wouldn't know about the dragon balls and the repeated cycle of goku dying 

then living again to save the whole world haha:D
